How Laser Falcon Plus works

Laser Falcon Plus utilizes TDLAS technology

TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) technology uses a tunable diode laser for precise gas analysis. The laser emits a narrow beam of light at a specific wavelength that matches the absorption characteristics of the target gas. When this beam passes through the gas and reflects off a surface, part of the light is absorbed by gas molecules. A sensor captures the reflected beam, and the gas concentration is determined by measuring the reduction in light intensity.

Why leak detection matters

Continuous methane monitoring is essential not only for safety but also for environmental protection. Methane is one of the most potent greenhouse gases, trapping heat much more efficiently than carbon dioxide. Even small leaks, if undetected, can increase and have a serious impact on the climate. This is why 24/7 monitoring is important: it helps to detect leaks as soon as they occur, prevent dangerous situations and control emissions in accordance with environmental regulations.
