No. Each device is designed to detect a specific gas. This ensures reliable detection of methane and not any other gas.

Is laser radiation hazardous to the eyes?

The measurement laser is Class 1 and considered eye-safe under normal operating conditions. The guide laser is Class 3R and should be used with care.

Does the remote laser detector work at night, in rain, fog and snowfall?

Yes. The instrument is designed to operate in all weather conditions.

Is there impact of water vapor on the measurements?

No. Water vapor does not affect the measurement.

Do I need to calibrate detectors before commissioning?

No. The detector contains a methane reference cell and performs self-checks and automatic calibration at start-up and during operation.
