About laser methane detection
Laser methane detector of GasFIR G630M utilizes TDLAS technology
TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) technology uses a tunable diode laser for precise gas analysis. The laser emits a narrow beam of light at a specific wavelength that matches the absorption characteristics of the target gas. When this beam passes through the gas and reflects off a surface, part of the light is absorbed by gas molecules. A sensor captures the reflected beam, and the gas concentration is determined by measuring the reduction in light intensity.

GasFIR G-Series is designed for visual detection of methane and a wide range of hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The detectable gases include propane, butane, ethylene, benzene, toluene, xylene, ethane, and other gases listed in the technical specifications.
GasFIR G-Series uses optical gas imaging (OGI) to visualize infrared radiation absorbed by specific gases. Special optical filters make the gas plume visible on the camera display in real time, so the leak can be located without physical contact.
The maximum leak detection distance is up to 180 m, depending on the conditions and the gas being detected.
Yes. The camera provides remote temperature measurement from -40°C to +350°C.
The models have different additional functions. The G630M includes a laser methane detector with a detection distance of up to 60 m. The G630R is equipped with a laser rangefinder. The G630Q provides quantitative gas leak analysis. The G630 is the standard model without these additional functions.
Yes. The G630M uses TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) for remote methane detection. Its measuring range is 0–10% vol or 0–100,000 ppm×m, with a detection distance of up to 60 m.
